# Geographic Shapes



## Geographic Boundary Polygons

When requesting locations with [Localities Details](/products/localities/features/details/), you can retrieve geometric boundary polygons for:

- **Cities** - City boundaries (e.g., Paris, Nîmes, London, Tokyo)
- **Administrative divisions** - Regions, departments, districts (e.g., Gard, Occitanie in France)
- **Countries** - National boundaries

Use the `fields=geometry` parameter to include the location’s boundary shape in your Details API response.
